Incense, Herbs and Essential Oils Which Increase Psychic Awareness

March 31, 2009 Uncategorized No Comments

If you are interested in increasing your psychic abilities and strengthening your spiritual power the following list of herbs, incense and essential oils will prove to be useful. Some of these items may also provide prophetic dreams and heightened awareness. Others help to improve metal clarity and strengthen your spiritual energy.

Experiment with these scents as an adjunct to meditation or prior to sleep. Or simply use them around the home to create an environment that is beneficial to the intuitive mind. These scents are commonly available in stick and cone incense form or as small bottles essential oil which can be used in oil burners to scent a room.

Many of these scents, such as cinnamon and bay leaf, can also be used in a potpourri. These scents in herb form can also be used in dream pillows or small satchels which are placed beneath your pillow at night or in a bowl on your nightstand.

One of my favourite combinations of scents used to stimulate and improve psychic abilities can be created from ingredients found at most grocery stores. Place equal parts of bay leaf, cinnamon and lemongrass into a small bowl and simply leave this somewhere in your room. The combination of scents is interesting and subtle. Inhale the aroma of this combination prior to meditation or use this to assist in intuitive or prophetic dreaming.

Ambergris – Heightens psychic abilities, may induce prophetic dreams

Anise – Increases clairvoyance

Bay Leaf – Stimulates psychic powers.

Cinnamon – Burned as an incense to stimulate spiritual power and psychic awareness.

Frankincense – Used to increase psychic abilities.

Heliotrope – Improves psychic power.

Honeysuckle – Heightens psychic skills.

Jasmine – May induce prophetic dreams, stimulates psychic powers.

Lemon – Increases psychic awareness, improves concentration.

Lemongrass – Provides clarity of thought, sharpens psychic awareness.

Lotus – Stimulates spiritual power.

Magnolia – Increases psychic awareness.

Peppermint – Increases spiritual energy and heightens psychic awareness.

Rose – Enhances psychic powers

Sage – Used to strengthen spiritual energy.

Immerse Yourself in the Greek Language and Culture

March 31, 2009 Uncategorized No Comments

The Greek language is over 3,500 years old, though it has evolved through the years. Over 15 million people worldwide speak Greek. It is the official language of Greece and Cyprus, and is spoken natively by immigrants living in many countries around the world. The Greek alphabet is considered the first real alphabet, and was a predecessor of the Latin alphabet, and eventually our own alphabet. The Greek language is one of history and passion, and is an ideal representative of the people who speak is fluently. If you are interested in learning a second language, consider Greek.

Learning the Greek language might seem intimidating. The alphabet doesn’t look exactly like the English alphabet. The word pronunciation sounds totally different as well. But there are several ways you can go about learning it, and several benefits to doing so. One option is to attend college, and study the language extensively. You have the choice of studying the Ancient form of Greek, or the Modern language. Learning Ancient Greek is useful if you plan to study Ancient Greek art, archaeology, literature, or history, and you intend to pursue this scholarly field. Earning a college degree in Modern Greek will provide you with a thorough written and conversational knowledge of the language that is spoken today, and gives you career options down the road. Having the ability to speak more than one language can have many advantages for you professionally. If you are fluent in the Greek language, and have some expertise in another field such as law, medicine, or business, you can be certified as a foreign language translator. This stimulating career prospect is one that offers you several options. As a certified translator, you can work full-time for a foreign language translation firm, translating business documents, web pages, and other types of communication for global corporations or for small firms looking branch out. You can also do freelance translation work, where you have the ability to be your own boss, and make your own schedule and set you own workload. Yet another career opportunity open to you as a bilingual professional is to teach English as a second language to Greek students in Greece. By knowing English and Greece, you will be able to live and work in Greece, and have no problems communicating there.

Another means by which you can learn the Greek language is by enrolling in an accelerated course that is available online. By learning Greek in this way, you will gain knowledge of a very basic foundation of the language. Learning Greek through an accelerated online course is a rather quick and convenient way to learn a second language. It is ideal for you if you are interested in traveling to Greece, and you want to be able to communicate in a basic way with the residents there. You will find that you will enjoy your travels much more if the stress of a communication barrier is not there.

An ideal option for learning the Greek language is through an immersion program. This is a perfect option for students who are looking to study abroad for a semester, or for bold travelers looking to experience Greek culture in a new and exciting way. You will not only learn the Modern Greek language, but you experience the vibrant and historic Greek culture. Learning Greek in Greece, where our own language and history has its origins, you will learn the language quickly and easily. You will learn the conversational and informal styles of the language by interacting everyday during your adventure with people who are native Greeks, who probably won’t be willing or able to communicate in English. You will be absorbed into the dazzling everyday life of the Greek people, its sights, sounds, and smells. You will gain knowledge and appreciate the storied Greek culture: the history, the art, the architecture, the food, and the people. As a part of the immersion program, you will attend courses in which you will learn the Greek alphabet, how to read, and how to write in Greek as well. Learning the Greek language as part of an immersion is a superb way to experience a new culture.

Learning the Greek language, though seemingly intimidating, can have many benefits for you. Knowing a second language gives you the potential to further develop you career by working abroad, or as a translator. Learning the Greek language will make you a better traveler as well. You will be able to communicate with the Greek people, and you will enjoy your adventures in Greece so much more. Learning Greek is a great way to open your eyes to a new (and ancient) culture. www.foreign-languages-school.com

Forensic Training

March 31, 2009 Uncategorized No Comments

Thanks to the popularity of Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) programs, there are many who are looking into forensic training in preparation for an exciting career. If you are looking for ways to make a quick start in the field of forensics with an associate degree from a community college, you may be fortunate enough to find your state among those that offer these programs.

Students will be exposed to the various forensic sciences and evidence-gathering technologies necessary to conduct criminal investigations. Many colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada offer two-year associate and four-year bachelor degree programs to students interested in studying the forensic sciences; some even offer master and PhD programs.

Associate degree programs in forensics focus on applications of physical, biomedical, and social sciences to analyze and evaluate physical evidence, criminal suspects, and testimony from witnesses. Programs can include classes in crime scene analysis, fingerprint technology, anthropology, psychology, pathology, forensic laboratory technology, forensic medicine, forensic dentistry, document analysis, examination procedures, applicable law and regulations, pattern analysis, professional ethics, and professional standards. Some schools even offer courses in forensic accounting.

Students should anticipate requirements of such subjects as writing, evidence reporting, anthropology, biology, entomology, forensic psychology, forensic toxicology, and forensic pathology, among others.

The recent popularity of CSI television programs has gotten a lot of people interested in forensic sciences, and forensic schools have popped up to answer the call. However, it should be noted that most forensic careers require an advanced degree, meaning that bachelor degrees and master degrees, or even PhD degrees, are often required in the various professions of forensics.

Two-year associate degrees from a top forensics school will offer an excellent beginning for students exploring an interest in forensic science. Transferring to a four-year institution to obtain a baccalaureate degree in a chosen field will be easily accomplished thereafter. Associate degrees from forensic training programs prepare students for undergraduate and graduate specialties that can be tailored to individual interests.

Supporting Your Child’s Budding Math Skills

March 31, 2009 Uncategorized No Comments

How do we support our child’s budding Math skills?

Most of us will never admit our struggles with Math have pretty much turned us off Math for life as a subject area. Of course, there are the naturals out there who ploughed through Math without any problems. But for the rest of us, we tend to stay away from modeling Math for our children, even though we use it for many things in our house. To do so prevents us from helping our children get good feelings about Math, never mind learn it.

When you child turns about two or is verbal, here are some exciting Math games to play.

The Laundry Math Game

Ask your child to pick up two pinks or two blues or two whites. Even a two year old or a fairly verbal child will quickly learn these colors to play along. One, two and three are the showcase numbers. Use them often and mix them up.

Once in a while, turn the tables and ask your child to tell you what to pick up next.

The Mailbox Chat

How many items will there be in our mail today? This encourages estimating. Encourage children to go as high as they can think of in numbers and then slowly count the mail together. It can be scary to give your children your mail so try to do it on the couch or at the table.

The Creative Walk

Wow, how many trees are there? Count together and count together often.

The Pie

So many children struggle with fractions and yet they are so useful in our every day life. When teaching fractions, I’ve always relied heavily on the truth about a pie or a cake.

Ask the child how much of the pie he would like. One out of how many pieces. Count the pieces. Say the fraction. Repeat. Ask how many you should have. Work at estimating and fractions together.

The Payday Game

Allowance for some reason appears to have become a hot button issue. Many parents are not giving allowance because they are plain confused. On the one hand, some people tie allowance to chores. On the other hand, experts argue that your child should have some share of the family income. Then, there are those who haven’t made up their mind.

I do both. There’s allowance they are entitled too so long as their behavior has been pretty standard all week. Sometimes there is a featured behavior like ‘listening’ or ‘following instructions’ or ‘getting out the door in fifty seconds’. In any case, they get their allowance. But every so many Sundays and it is Super Bonus Extra Allowance Day and truly, every one of my kids gets to work scrubbing, polishing, vacuuming and it’s wonderful to see them work so hard to make up for the other twenty-nine to thirty days in a month.

Still there is a point to allowance beyond these two approaches. They need to experience money. It helps their numeracy. Grade two is often the grade for teaching money and it can be very inaccessible if a child hasn’t experienced money.

If you’re still divided on giving your child money on any commitment schedule, consider leaving coins around the house and occasionally counting up all the change to figure out how much the child can spend.

Have children fill out book order forms. They can do this at five years of age with help and encouragement.

Online Math games. PBS has some numeracy games on their site pbs.org.

They can play these independently after a certain age. Be sure to have a nanny net on your computer. You can put one on your computer for a certain user. Passwords are great for children.

Grocery Shopping

Tell them what you need and send them over to get the items for the cart. You’ll be surprised how well they can count when they’re using it.

The best thing to do with teaching Math is to remember that just counting to ten over and over again isn’t going to get them anywhere. Taking numbers out of sequence is always best.

Introduction to the Online Bachelor Degree in Nursing

March 30, 2009 Uncategorized No Comments

Depending on where you are in your nursing career, an online bachelor degree can prepare you to become a Registered Nurse (RN) or take your RN credential to the next level. If you wish to obtain a nursing degree, this introduction to the online bachelor degree in nursing will help you determine if online learning is best for you, and how you can proceed.

Is Online Learning Right for Me?

Online learning is a great way to obtain any degree, nursing included. Any introduction to the online bachelor degree in nursing should include information on the wide variety of programs available. Many schools offer online bachelor degrees, which is great news! This means that you have options to choose from and can find a program to meet your specific needs.

One area for consideration is your preparedness for online learning. These types of programs are just as rigorous as traditional classroom settings. Many schools provide tools and resources to help you stay motivated, but your success in any program, particularly an online program, is entirely up to you.

For example, because there are so many programs available, you are not limited to the programs of a local school. Online learning also allows you to attend a school many miles away. Comparing Schools

As you research schools, consider using a variety of comparison methods. These can include school rankings, graduate statistics, and programs offered. Psychic Tarot Card Readings – Is a Tarot Card Reading the Same as a Psychic Reading?

March 30, 2009 Uncategorized No Comments

Some people are not quite sure about the difference between a regular Tarot Card Reading and a Psychic Tarot Card Reading. The difference is really dependent upon the skill and the ability of the person using the Tarot Cards as a tool for divination. A beginning tarot card reader may rely more heavily on the individual meanings of the tarot cards rather than relying on their intuition.

One must develop their intuitive skills when learning the tarot because it is the individual’s unique ability to tap into another’s energy coupled with the use of the tarot as a medium or mechanism to trigger visions, thoughts, feelings that accurately reflects their ability to help you. Psychic gifts come in all shapes and sizes and it’s up to you to make sure that your reader is experienced and gifted in the various areas of intuition that guarantees beneficial and valuable insights and accurate predictions.

Tarot Cards are powerful symbols representing life experiences. After applying spiritual principles using tarot cards to master receiving accurate extrasensory information, a psychic tarot card reading will be one in which a gifted reader should be able to use their natural spiritual gifts in combination with the tarot and not just tell you literal meanings of the individual cards.

Is a Psychic Tarot Card Reading more accurate than an Automated Online Tarot Card Reading?

Tarot cards are very mysterious indeed. When getting an automated online tarot card reading, it’s hard to imagine that your computer has the ability to divine spiritual information. And, of course, this is a ridiculous notion.

An online automated tarot card reading, or a virtual tarot card reading, does have some conveniences. You do not have to book an appointment, you can have your results instantly, and your chosen cards are randomly selected providing you with an assortment of spreads and interpretations.

Although these type readings are popular and fun, there is no intuition or psychic ability involved. The reason why they may be helpful is because there is much insight that can be gained from the essential meanings inherent in the Tarot that you may find some words of encouragement or a mysterious parallel to your current concerns. And because of this, online automated tarot card readings provide a very fascinating and entertaining activity. Further, you may be tapping into your own intuition stimulated by the magic of the tarot, and this could be a good thing. So long as you feel empowered and positive after your online tarot card reading, there is no harm, but nothing such as this can compare to the natural talent and skill of an authentic psychic reader who will amaze you with a true psychic tarot card reading.

Controlling Insects With Sound Waves

March 30, 2009 Uncategorized No Comments

Can we control insects with sound waves? Can we stop or control Locust Plagues and swarms? How about using high-frequency emitters to prevent them from doing destruction? Has anything like this ever been done before? There are currently some projects being done in Washington State in Apple Tree Orchards near Yakima, which had prompted me to write this article:

worldthinktank.net/wttbbs/index.php?s=780708d10a61d4d0000b02e0a9656a64&showtopic=649

Indeed I did read in Mid Western Farmer News of some other projects using sound and there was also a Discovery Channel show on this. There is also a gentleman in Canada who grows crickets for use in agriculture and to feed to reptiles for pet stores, which maybe of interest, although I do not have those exact details. I know it is a family owned business, but he grows millions at a time of different varieties, size and separates them out, some for producing the next batch and the rest for sale. Maybe we could borrow a container full of them to use in our experiment to see if such a thing could work? Here is one thought I had on Locusts for energy and using sound waves to control them: Printable Version:

worldthinktank.net/wttbbs/index.php?act=Print&client=printer&f=178&t=353

Hey what they heck, may as well tell the military to pay for the research? They have the money we could tell them something like hey controlling Locusts has military applications, uses and considerations:

worldthinktank.net/wttbbs/index.php?s=8ae8b897ffe0b822acf2fae0e05cbb9c&showtopic=350&st=0&#entry5120

Controlling locusts probably does not have any real military applications but if they pay for the technology and research, well it sure would help defeat these pests from ripping into the reality of the already dire straights the human race is in with its population over 6.6 Billion and so many mouths to feed? Consider all this in 2006.
